03/02/2020
Two wheels are perfect to discover the surroundings of San Benedetto Camping Relais, and great news are coming for all bike lovers for the 2020 summer season!
In the meantime, we will tell you about the 5 most beautiful areas to discover by bike!
- Peschiera-Mantua: a beautiful route that starts from the sports area of Peschiera del Garda, runs along the Mincio and its beautiful panoramas up to Mantua. Along the route, also suitable for inexperienced, there are some bus lines dedicated to bike.
- Porto Vecchio: this route moves to Dolci, following the Mincio for a short stretch. Here we find typical panoramas of the Garda hinterland with historical elements to admire, such as Forte Ardietti and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Frassino. It is a more suitable route for Mountain Bike or E-bike.
- Frassino: the route starts from our Camping Relais to reach immediately through a short stretch inland and through the Lugana vineyards the fascinating naturalistic oasis of Laghetto del Frassino, a little lake with a maximum depth of 15 m with very ancient origins: it was formed during the last glaciation following the withdrawal of the large Benaco glacier and here you can find the remains of the first stilts of our area, a UNESCO heritage site, housed and described at the Rambotti museum in Desenzano del Garda. It is also a perfect place for bird watching.
- Among the vineyards: it always starts from our Camping Relais and taking the Sirmione cycle, you can reach località Sermana. From here you can immerse yourself in the vineyards of our Lugana white wine up to Boschetti, Broglie, even Pozzolengo. Then continuing towards Porto Vecchio we connect to the Mincio cycle path up to the city center of Peschiera. It is a more suitable route for Mountain Bike or E-bike.
- Monte Baldo: for mountain bike lovers, Monte Baldo offers breathtaking routes, and with the Garda-Baldo Bus Walk & Bike it is easy and convenient to reach the starting points, thanks to the Line service active from June to September, which, once you reach Garda, it gives you the opportunity to go to the little towns of San Zeno di Montagna (also known as "the balcony on Lake Garda) and Prada (from which numerous bike routes depart).
